I arrived in Austin in 1986 while touring with Charlie Sexton, opened the Austin Rehearsal Complex—the ARC—in 1990, and co-founded the SIMS Foundation in 1995.

In 2003, I brought together what I do best—listening, problem-solving and connecting with people—with my love for Austin and began my real estate career. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of guiding hundreds of clients through two of life’s biggest transitions: finding just the right home and achieving the best possible outcome when it is time to sell.

I’ve received two consecutive Best of Austin awards for Best Real Estate Agent and have been named a Five Star Real Estate Agent in Texas Monthly every year since 2011. The recognition means a great deal to me, but I’m most grateful for the many clients who have returned—and trusted me with the real estate needs of their families and friends—again and again. No two people, homes or transactions are alike, and that is precisely what I love about this work.

Music is also woven deeply into my life. I have toured and recorded with Billy Bragg, Joe Ely, Charlie Sexton, Ian McLagan, Ronnie Lane, Broken Homes, Storyville and Martha Davis, and performed with Bruce Springsteen, Pete Townshend, Ronnie Wood and Alejandro Escovedo. Career highlights include opening for the Rolling Stones and appearing on The Late Show with David Letterman and PBS’s Austin City Limits. In 2007, I was honored as Best Drummer at the Austin Music Awards, and my original compositions are available on all major streaming services.

Real estate and music may seem like two very different careers, but both begin with the same essential skill: listening.
